Position Overview
Planetek Hellas is looking to hire a Senior System Administrator to join our ICT Services Department. The successful candidate will report directly to the ICT Services Manager and will be responsible for:
- Managing server and client systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing hardware and software systems, ensuring their proper operation and providing technical support in case of malfunctions.
- Administering network devices (including switches, routers, firewalls, and SIP devices) to guarantee reliable and efficient data and voice connectivity.
- Implementing information security strategies from a systems perspective.
- Ensuring compliance with IT policies by monitoring activities and overseeing the correct application of company policies.
- Maintaining up-to-date security, quality, and privacy documentation relevant to their scope of action.
- Conducting system analyses, tests, and diagnostics to assess IT infrastructure efficiency and identify any issues.
- Providing user training to ensure effective and secure system usage.
- Managing technical relationships with all internal and external stakeholders related to ICT support activities.
Specific Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s Degree in a relevant technical field.
Professional Experience
- Demonstrated recent experience in a similar role, preferably in medium-to-large organizations with significant organizational complexity or in leading IT consulting firms.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, including servers, workstations, SANs, NAS, FC switches, Ethernet switches, UPS systems, network printers, and VoIP devices.
- Expertise in managing common client and server operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
- Experience with virtualized Client/Server environments, RDBMS, Web/Application Servers, Active Directory services, Backup and Disaster Recovery systems, VoIP PBX, and centrally managed endpoint security and patching solutions.
- Competence in administering mail servers and widely used document collaboration platforms.

Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, CCNA, ACSA, ECS) are considered an advantage.
- Language certifications (e.g., English proficiency) are also a plus.
- Certifications validating the required experience and additional qualifications should be attached to the application.
- Professional experience must be supported by relevant documentation, such as an employment contract, recent payslip, contribution statement, or an official certificate from the relevant Employment Office.
